Sunstar Emergency Medical Technician Aaron Pearce is Selected as the 2021 Pinellas County Emergency Medical Services Professional of the Year

May 18, 2021

Sunstar Emergency Medical Technician Aaron Pearce Received the 2021 Pinellas County EMS Professional of the Year Award during the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021.

EMT Pearce is a young and motivated clinician who started his career with Sunstar in February of 2020. EMT Pearce excelled through his training and was placed on our BLS (Basic Life Support) unit facilitating the BLS interfacility transfer program.

Typically, EMTs want to move away from the BLS units and into the 911 ALS (Advanced Life Support) trucks, but not Aaron. He took quite the shine to this side of EMS and quickly proved himself with his outstanding bedside manner and nearly perfect documentation standards.

Aaron is now leading the BLS program as one of our top BLS EMT FTO’s. He currently trains our new EMTs as they experience the BLS program through our orientation training process.

We are very proud of EMT Aaron Pearce here at Sunstar and because of his strong work, he has been selected to receive our Sunstar education scholarship to attend Paramedic school.
