Sunstar’s veterans: Serving our country and community

May 29, 2022

In honor of Veterans Day, Sunstar Paramedics would like to recognize and thank its close to   70 employees who have served in U.S. military branches or currently serving in the Reserves or National Guard. They bravely served our country before serving our community with Sunstar Paramedics.

As paramedics, vehicle service technicians, administrators, mechanics, and in many other roles, these veterans are an integral part of the Sunstar team. The veterans working with Sunstar served across all military branches and nearly every field, and with several achieving high ranks. Some have served as combat medics who provided frontline trauma care on the battlefield prior to joining Sunstar. Others continue to serve through the Reserves and National Guard.

“We’re fortunate to have many veterans and members of the Reserves and National Guard as part of the Sunstar team,” said Debbie Vass, Sunstar’s chief administrative officer. “Their ambition, strong work ethic, ability to work as a team, and dedication to the mission make them strong candidates for employment and excellent team members.”

On Veterans Day and throughout the year, Sunstar thanks our veterans and active service members for their service to our country, and to the citizens of Pinellas County.
