Sunstar Paramedic Jared Sorensen honored by Congressman Bilirakis

Paramedic Jared Sorensen was honored as Paramedic of the Year for Sunstar Paramedics at “The Gus Bilirakis 12th Congressional District First Responder of the Year” awards dinner on May 15th 2017.

Congressman Bilirakis presented Paramedic Sorensen with a United States Flag that was flown over the Capital in his honor, a certificate and a congressional medal.

Jared  was selected to receive this award because he is well respected among his peers as a top- notch clinician and mentor.  He has achieved the roles of Assistant Supervisor, Field Training Officer, PCEMS Instructor and Certified Flight Paramedic since starting with Sunstar in 2011. He is an active member of the Critical Care Transport team and the Sunstar Honor Guard team. He also assists the Sunstar Clinical Services Department with the on-boarding and testing of new paramedics in the county.

The Gus Bilirakis 12th Congressional District  First Responder of the Year awards were given to a first responder from each agencies within the 12th Congressional District. This prestigious award recognizes one law enforcement officer, fire fighter, and paramedic from each agency who has gone above and beyond in service to our community.
